Corsica - How to Get There
Most travelers get to Corsica by car or motorbike (in connection with a ferry) or by plane. If you have booked a holiday package from a brochure or a last minute holiday, your transport to Corsica will most likely be included. You will arrive by plane and will be transferred directly to your booked accommodation. Many individual travelers also arrive by plane. If your stay on Corsica is part of a trip to Italy or France, you have several ferry options available to choose from. The easiest way is from southern France.
Car / Ferry
Ferry connections are available from the Italian ports of Savona, Genoa and Livorno. For travelers from western parts of Europe, the ferries from France might be a worthwhile option. The most important routes are:

- Genoa – Bastia (Moby Lines)
- Savona – Bastia, Savona – Calvi, Savona – L'Ile Rousse (Corsica Ferries)

Plane
Corsica has four airports that are served by regular and charter airlines. The most important airport is Bastia-Poretta which is situated approximately 20 km south of Bastia. In the northwestern part of the island there is the airport Calvi Sainte-Catherine (about 7 km southeast of town). In the southwest you find Ajaccio-Campo dell'Oro about 8 km east of the town. In the south there is the small airport Figari approx. 25 km west of Porto Vecchio.
